Ramsgate is only a few stops from Deal on the train, although there is a 15/20 min walk from the station to Ramsgate centre.

The tour of the building is very informative. They also put on theme days and events through out the year (Not suitable for dogs)

This is not the original Pier of Deal, but this one is much loved. From the end of the piers you can appreciate Deal coastline and architecture. A great place to watch the sunset at the end of the day.

The Timeball tower (picture and seen from the top bedroom) has an amazing history. It is open in the summer season and run by volunteers. Well worth a visit.
