8 Schierker Str.Berlin is sadly not beach-adjacent, so in summer everyone goes to the lakes! When it’s too hot to be a tourist, follow the locals and head to Schlachtensee. Get the train to either Nikolassee or Schlactensee Sbahn station and find a lakeside spot somewhere! There’s a lawn out the front of the Schlactensee train station, but it’s normally crowded so I recommend walking around to the other side of the lake and finding a little “beach” to set up camp on. There’s also a place to rent boats from if that takes your fancy.

Costs between 3 - 5 euros to get in, drinks are reasonable and they have food. To get there take the elevators to the fifth floor (a carpark) and then walk up to the sixth floor of the parking building

Berlin's most famous club — and famously difficult to get into. If you want to get in here's a few tips: Don't bother dressing up nicely like you would in London etc, black jeans are a must. Don't talk loudly in the line, if they get a hint of you being overly drunk or touristy you won't get in. Don't use your phone. Don't say you're with a big group, if the bouncer asks who you're with, just say you're alone, or with 1 other person. Try not to speak English to the bouncer — just nod along to the German if you don't understand!

An old US Spy station built on the top of a hill formed by WW2 rubble. These days Teufelsberg has been turned into a sort of outdoor art gallery, you pay about €8 you can go in and wander around. You can even walk to the very top of the spy station for some cool pictures over Berlin.

The guard box is actually a replica, and isn't even sitting where the original guard house was (look for the bricks marking the wall a few meters down the road), but it could be a fun photo op.
