My ideal Venice beach trip is to shop and eat on the boardwalk while seeing all the local artisans handmade crafts for sale. Everything on the west side of the boardwalk must be hand made originals. Everything on the inland side of the boardwalk can be custom or resell. Steve Harvey Big Time show finds all their talent here on the boardwalk. Some of the most fascinating street performers in the nation. Also a great skate park and a really awesome street art mural arena. After you’ve had enough of the hustle and bustle of the beach, cool down on the Venice Beach canals. You’ll see locals riding their gondolas and canoes. It’s so peaceful and mirrors after Italy’s Venice Canals. If you’re still up for adventures, hop on a bike or Uber from Venice to Santa Monica. You can rent a bike one way and ride it straight up the boardwalk. Return it in Santa Monica and check out the pier and 3rd street. Beach gear is all available for rent there so no need to bring anything.
