A fun, Independent Bookstore, in nearby Plainville - designed and operated by the author of the Wimpy Kid series - An Unlikely Story is a delightful place to browse or sip a late in the cafe. There is plenty of free parking, a nice staff, and they host events upstairs.
I also recommend breakfast or lunch at The Purple Rooster Cafe, right next door. It's open 8-3 Wednesday - Sunday and has great organic food.

Boston Public Market is indoors and open 7 days a week. Right next door is Boston Haymarket which is outdoors and only open Friday and Saturday. Both are fun and unique! The cheapest parking is in Parcel 7 Garage 136 Blackstone Street, Boston. If you go on Friday & Saturday and get your ticket validated by a Haymarket Vendor, the parking is only a couple of bucks for up to 2 hours- which is the best deal in Boston! Ask for details when you arrive. And have fun!

Get the best farm raised produce and meats all winter long! This indoor venue is spacious with great vendors. A favorite of mine. Saturday’s 9-1. Especially wonderful in winter but open all year round. If you’re into organic foods and pasture raised meats- it’s a fun shopping experience.
