Berrien County is known for its craft breweries and distilleries, and the food is great too!
Located in downtown New Buffalo just east of Red Arrow Highway. Serving their own beer and known for their authentic Neopolitan pizzas (which are fantastic!). They also have an adjacent beer garden which can even be enjoyed in the winter in a plastic igloo!

They also have a natural gas putting green behind the distillery called Welter’s Folley. They rent clubs/balls and it’s a great attraction on the non-beach days.

A little further north, Haymarket is located in Bridgman, about 15 minutes north. The food is very good with excellent Neopolitan pizzas. They also have a lawn with plenty of outdoor seating and games. It’s also dog friendly!

Definitely the ‘top pick’ of the area - fine dining with moderate pricing and casual dress works - At least one of the pasta dishes has home made pasta. You could easily have lunch from their appetizer selection and call it a day - best filet carpaccio around - also their bruschetta stands out far ahead of even the better fine dining establishments in Chicago.
