Sunrise tends to be a little less busy than Paradise on the other side of the mountain. This side of the park is quieter and usually offers better wildlife viewing related to that. You will find stunning views anywhere you go on Rainier and this is no exception!

This huge park offers miles of trails and an icredible view of the Puget Sound. Home of the 2015 US Open, Chamber's Bay Golf Course sits right in the middle. It's a great place to plan a picnic. I've seen whales, rabbits, deer, seals and eagles while walking with our dog at Chambers. One of our favorite South Sound spots!

6320 Grandview Dr WThis huge park offers miles of trails and an icredible view of the Puget Sound. Home of the 2015 US Open, Chamber's Bay Golf Course sits right in the middle. It's a great place to plan a picnic. I've seen whales, rabbits, deer, seals and eagles while walking with our dog at Chambers. One of our favorite South Sound spots!
Start at this trailhead and follow the signs to three amazing waterfalls off of the Little Mashel River. ~5.5 miles round-trip. Easy-moderate hike. The falls are gorgeous and bald eagle sightings are almost guaranteed!
