We like these ones, either for the style, the food or the location or all three!
The food here is excellent - you can tell they use fresh ingredients and the menu has some interesting choices. It's very stylish - country and unpretentious but comfortable and inviting.
It's also worth a visit for the drive through the Fonthill Bishop Estate - beautiful, stretched out well kept paddocks and fields with horses grazing and attractive wooden fences...Very English country!

Lovely pub with good food, friendly service and nicely decorated inside.
This pub is worth a visit for the ancient atmosphere - very low dark beamy ceiling, old farm implements on walls, cosy fire, small and intimate. Sit outside in the summer. Food is very typical english - good roasts.

We think this is a good Chinese take-away. Good price, quick service and the wife cooks straight away at the back. Good crispy duck! Nice and near at the top of the High Street, just a little beyond the Grosvenor Hotel.
