Located on the corner of the Sukhumvit Road and Soi 12, Sukhumvit Plaza is informally known as Korea Town (Sukhumvit Plaza) in Bangkok because it is packed with three floors of businesses selling imported Korean products. Over time this shopping plaza has become the Centre of Bangkok’s Korean community and the best place in Thailand to eat authentic Korean food. Korean food is a distinctive Asian cuisine and very different to Thai food. The mainstay of Korean restaurant food is the BBQ, which comes in the form of a grill over hot coals set in the middle of the dining table. Typically beef and pork is used.
