If you happen to be visiting the Tahoe area in the summer season, (July & August), you may want to make reservations to see a live performance at Sand Harbor (just outside Incline Village on the Nevada side). You can pack a picnic or purchase food from one of the onsite vendors. You are also welcome to pack wine, beer or other beverages to enjoy during the performance. You can't beat this outdoor venue under a blanket of stars, with waves crashing in the background! There is always an alternate show if you are not interested in seeing a Shakespearian performance.

If you are visiting the Tahoe area between May and September, the Thunderbird Lodge tour is a must see! They offer two different ways to visit the lodge:
Arrive by car to the Incline Village visitors center and shuttle over to the lodge. This tour cost $45 per person.
Or, depart from Zephyer Cove on an antique wooden boat, and cruise along the East shore to the lodge. The boat tour package includes a tour of the lodge followed by lunch. This package cost $149 per person.
Either way you get there, you will not be disappointed. The Thunderbird Lodge and it's origional owner are a rich part of Lake Tahoe history.
