If I find a spare moment this is a great place to stop and lose yourself. The gardens are a joy at any time of year, children love playing hide and seek. There is also a tennis court with racket and balls for a fun knock around. Usual National Trust Tea Room. Can be very busy on Bank Holidays

This is my favourite restaurant - food is superb and a great spot by the river Avon. On a warm summers day the outside eating area is a pleasant spot. Delicious!

Lovely family home with atmosphere and paintings. National Trust tea room - nice spot. Edge Hill is close by (Civil war battle site) with magnificent views. I love the local hornton stone villages - lots of thatched cottages with duck ponds. An overlooked part of the Cotswolds. Explore!

Simply a great National Trust property - try not to miss
Love Packwood House and not far from Stratford upon Avon. Wonderful old Topiary and house. Great tearoom and if you like walking can spend pleasant afternoon walking from Packwood House to Baddesley Clinton. Another charming NT property and definitely worth a visit

Do try and get tickets to an RSC play - either at main theatre or The Swan. The Swan is slightly smaller but historically significant as created from the shell of the RSC theatre which burnt down in 1927. The RSC is a good venue for lunch with nice views across river and Stratford upon Avon

Nice Cotswold market town. From our house take the quiet backroads to Chipping Campden and stop at Hidcote gardens on the way. Gorgeous Cotswold scenery and all close by
