Es un pueblo lleno de historia. Fue lugar de residencia de Fernando I, campo de conquista de Pedro Madruga, puerto de llegada para la Pinta y bastión que resistió el ataque de Francis Drake. Su casco antiguo y paseo marítimo es perfecto para pasear en los fines de semana. Hay un ambiente increíble para tomarse algo y que los niños corran a su aire sin peligro, ya que el casco antiguo es completamente peatonal. El castillo, ahora parador nacional, podéis bordearlo paseando o visitarlo y tomaros algo en la cafetería.

It was the residency place of Ferdinand I, conquest field of Pedro Madruga, port of arrival of la Pinta, and stronghold for Francis Drake raids. Its old town and marina are perfect for a stroll on the weekends. The atmosphere is incredible to have some drinks and let the kids run free since all the old town is car free. The caste, now a national Parador, can be surrounded by walk or visit and drink a coffee on its bar.
