Sitting on top of an extinct volcano, the Castle is the most iconic image of Edinburgh and a must see during your stay. Stand at the castle Esplanade for the best views around the city or if you have time the time, definitely take the tour around the castle. During peak summer season book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
