Built in the late 1800's, Glen Echo Park used to be an amusement park, and since its closure in the 1960's, it has undergone restorations and one of the most popular sites is the carousel, as it's the only functioning ride now.
Still a pretty park and there's always some kind of event going on there.

Love love love this place. If you like wine and a gorgeous view, you must check this place out. They have indoor and outdoor seating and snacks and always a delicious food truck.
Unfortunately it may be best accessible via car, but there could be public transit that goes out this way. It's only about a 20-30 min drive, but it's so worth it. Everyone I've brought here loves this place.
