Great place to go out and enjoy a beautiful Salem day, or better yet, a sunset. The new bridge connecting Riverfront Park to Minto-Brown lights up at night and is a wonder to see in person. I like to go here to relax, look at stars, or just go for a walk around the paths. Salem has many yearly events and cultural festivals that take place at the park.

If you’re here in the summer, make sure to check out the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes! The best day to go is a rainy fall day, but the area is gorgeous and accessible year round. The park is about 20 minutes of driving away from Salem.

EZ Orchards is a local farm stand just barely outside of town. They have all sorts of reasons to go: top-notch produce, strawberry shortcakes, and apple cider donuts that are guaranteed to be the best of your entire life!

An amazing local Korean food place. Daily lunch specials for $7 that are way too filling, fantastic sushi, and of course Bibimbap. The owners live in our neighborhood and are extremely friendly and philanthropic. This is my absolute favorite local business to support as the food and people are both great.
