Parks & Nature

Park is small but its located 5 minutes from the house. It has a large playground with sand in it. Also has a fountain for kids to play in the water. Its in the middle of town next to restaurants, bars, grocery, church, etc. Also our trailhead runs through it. You can ride bikes or take a walk. Perfect for runners. Theirs a huge white covered gazebo where on the weekends they host a farmers market where local venders come to sell their vegetables, goods, merchandise, food, etc. We also have bands every now and then.

I love this place. Its the closest you will get to a beach. Except this is a lake with beautiful white sands. Great for the kids. Many activities for them. Trampolines and slides in the water. Launch pads. Boat rentals. Recommend reserving a shelter. Their is no shade their! Bring sunscreen. This is where the locals go.

Trained navigators escort you into the swamp waters where you'll come face to face with gators! I took this tour with my family and enjoyued it very much. We got to hold and pet gators and even took pics with them as well.

I love this street. Its right on the lake front. This street is full of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Theirs also a bike path along the lake great for running or riding your bike. This is close about 20 minutes away.
