This is was the venue for the 1996 Olympic slalom events. Huge whitewater and it's a good place to watch some raft carnage on this section of the Upper Ocoee river. Excellent mountain biking trails start and end here. I believe there is a $5 (cash only or passes are available) fee to the U.S. Forest Service to park here for over 30 minutes. I think it's good for the entire day. Building burned in 2022.

Excellent place for professional glider rides. Usually about 25-30 minutes. Superb views and the only sound is the wind whispering by. Look down at the farms and mountains and river valleys.

Quaint little fishing outpost that has snacks and camping essentials. Very beautiful setting in a small valley in the heart of the mountains. Very rustic and Appalachian.

This is probably the biggest non outdoor/wilderness adventure tourist draw in the Delano area. A group of old world order Mennonites (no power & no engines, etc) farm 500 acres here and grow some amazing produce and sell it and some homemade crafts and soaps, breads, etc. at this little market. Open March thru October or so and Monday - Saturday from 9-5. It is cash only. It's a must do!

The Reliance historic district is a prime example of a Southern Appalachian mountain community preserved for future generations of outdoor adventure seeking tourists and folks who love old time sights from an era long ago. It's really special.
