No visit to England is really complete - as they say :-) , without a visit to Britain’s World Heritage Site, Stonehenge, nestled in the undulating plain of Salisbury plain.
Having grown up in the area, I can provide tips for sightseers as to how to maximise their visit.

Cardiff is a fast one hour train ride from Swindon’s railway station. Home to the Millennium Rugby Stadium, and interesting museums for fine Art and antiquity.
Cardiff Castle with its stone zoo animals along the fortress wall, leads to tranquil riverside gardens. Great for a picnic.
Boat trips to Cardiff Bay and trendy restaurants is a great way to spend the afternoon.
Cultural days (St. David’s Day) is when locals present daffodils.
For foodies, central Cardiff market sells take-away portions of fresh cockles with vinegar.
More palatable is the local cake the Welsh cake, which traditionally is a iron-skillet cooked batter.
The locals use subterranean restaurant in central Cardiff called the Arches, which has a large selection of simple hearty food and salad , and clean restrooms.

Bath is a stunning Georgian City with a Roman heritage connected with Minerva. It is most known for its original citing on hot springs and the Roman Baths attraction has been modernised with a pool. Ideal for spa treatments.
Prime shopping areas with specialist interest shops such as a chocolatier, and British favourite Lakeland.
There is a ye olde feeling to old, narrow shopping streets and arcades.
Key features are the central Kennet & Avon canal, narrow boats and a stepped weir with a park and restaurant.
