If you like history and architecture take a mansion tour (the Breakers, RoseCliff and Marble House are our favorites).

There is also a bus that will bring you to the heart of the city if you don't have a car. Here you can view some beautiful architecture, history of RI, some of the universities that call RI home like Brown and RISD, and some of the best restaurants in the state. The cuisine in Providence rivals the restaurants in Boston and NY for a fraction of the cost. There is a reason it's topped quite a few lists of best little city in the country.
