City/town information
Ionia is the epidemy of vintage. There are so many cool old buildings in town. From Downtown with a brick street and lamplights, to the library, the court house, local historic churches and homes. The Green Mansion on Union Hill was the home of the former Michigan Governor Green. The Blanchard House is now a museum. There are also trails for biking and hiking along with the Grand River for fishing and kayaking. Downtown is in a period of revitalization with many new businesses for shopping and eating. Ionia is also home to a State Recreation Park with trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and cross country skiing. Sessions Lake at the park has a sandy beach for swimming including a pavilion for with restrooms and a food vendor. There is much to discover in Ionia
