Quirky pub on Lewisham high street. The pub was recently refurbished and they found an old sign which read "Suttons' Radio" which they decided was a great name! Inside you'll find lots of retro radios as well as old maps of the local area. There is a pub quiz on Sunday evenings and live music on the last Friday of the month.

Sightseeing
Greenwich Park is walking distance from our flat and makes for a nice trip out. The park itself is very varied with a flower garden, hills and open areas of grass that are perfect for a picnic in the sunshine. Whilst you're there, you can also visit the Observatory, the Royal Naval College and the National Maritime Museum.

Edmund Halley WayThis is a lesser-known attraction in London which is definitely worth a visit. It is a cable car ride over the Thames with great views of Canary Wharf, as well as some of London's existing industrial areas. You can buy an aeroplane-style boarding pass or just use your Oyster card! When you get to the other side in the Royal Docks, you can either take the cable car back again or take the DLR via Canary Wharf.
To get there from Lewisham:

Camden Market is a great place to wander around. There are so many different shops and stalls there as well as loads of street food to try!

Even if you're not that into art, the Tate Modern building is worth seeing in itself. Set in an old power plant on the river Thames, the Tate Modern is full of modern art. In particular, the Picasso 1932 exhibition runs until 9th September 2018 and is very impressive. Although entry to the general admission part of the gallery is free, make sure you book tickets in advance for exhibitions!

BanksideEven if you're not that into art, the Tate Modern building is worth seeing in itself. Set in an old power plant on the river Thames, the Tate Modern is full of modern art. In particular, the Picasso 1932 exhibition runs until 9th September 2018 and is very impressive. Although entry to the general admission part of the gallery is free, make sure you book tickets in advance for exhibitions!

This museum gives you a great history of the docklands area and how Britain traded with the world. Very interesting and free (most museums in the UK are)
