The Boars Pub
The Boars is a wonderful pub we highly recommend
“Welcome to The Boars, located in the Norfolk village of Spooner Row. As our guests, you will receive a warm welcome every time. Our locally sourced ingredients help us create dishes that will be enjoyed whether you are joining us for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
We have two main dining areas. The recently renovated main restaurant with new furniture is a firm favourite of many guests. The agricultural bar is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and bite to eat, with dogs allowed to join diners in this area.”

Amendines
One of our very favourites for lunch - a vegetarian restaurant tucked in a charming courtyard of converted Victorian red-brick warehouses, this place exudes a warm, relaxed and friendly welcome – lots of light, climbing jasmine and roses, and a wonderful internal glass covered courtyard heated by the sun and a traditional wood burning stove - Fantastic homemade Quiche!

Norfolk has 90 miles of coast (93 when the tide's out) and whatever kind of beach you like, you'll find it here... and all of them are unspoilt, clean, safe and family-friendly. And most of them welcome dogs too.
Our nearest Beach is Southwold or Walberswick - just 30 miles away - 50 minutes by car
Southwold is one of our favourites for so many reasons. It’s a place where truly special memories are made. Its eccentric pier, rows of colourful beach huts, striking lighthouse and traditional seaside architecture make Southwold a true picture postcard destination. Go down to the harbour and get the best fish and chips in town at The Sole Bay fish company!

Holkham is another must - especially the stunning Holkham Hall which hosts many events and concerts throughout the year and you must visit Holkham beach! Known as the jewel of the North Norfolk Coast, this beach doubled as Virginia in the closing shots of the movie Shakespeare in Love! At low tide the beach stretches for miles and miles and you can walk in an unspoilt landscape of just sand, sea and sky.
On hot days the beautiful pinewoods provide some welcome cool shade.

Of course - when in Norfolk it would be rude not to pay a visit to the Queen!
Regularly used by the Royal Family, Sandringham House is 1hr15 minutes away from us - nestled in 24 hectares (60 acres) of formal Gardens. You can see great collections of objets d'art and family portraits by leading contemporary court painters in the House and in the formal Gardens see rare and unusual trees offering shady glades, sweeping lawns, lakes, and water gardens.
Local Norfolk produce can be found in Sandringham Café and Gift shop at the Visitors Centre, whilst in the 243 Hectares of dog friendly Country Park there's opportunities to discover wildlife on many different nature trails.
