Visit Glendalough monastic site and visitor centre, part of Ireland's ancient east. Located in a glaciated valley with 2 lakes. Soak up the spectacular scenery of county Wicklow. Enjoy a romantic stroll, for walkers and hikers, among history and heritage founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. See the 30 metre high round tower, or take a scenic hike into the valley. We recommend to arrive early in summer as the car parks get very busy. Alternatively visit after 4pm when there are less people.
