This is a super lively restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a great selection of Spanish/Portuguese style tapas. They even have sangria, as well as great local and imported wines, cocktails etc.

This is our ATF place to grab a quite lunch or dinner. Located in the lower village, 3 minutes away, they have underground parking (and plenty of street parking). Indoor and outdoor seating, full bar. Some of our favorites are the macha chicken salad, the thai beef salad, the honor bar burger and french dip. Reasonably priced and always delicious. Next door they have a to-go place where you can pick up pizza, wine, and most things that are on the main restaurant menu.

Awesome pizza (similar in style to Mozza Pizzeria in LA). This restaurant is always packed with locals like Reese Witherspoon and her family, so you need a reservation. They also do "to go" which a lot of our guests enjoy.

Great for dim sum lunch, dining in or take out, we have found China Pavillion to be great quality. Things are a bit pricy compared to some chinese restaurants but quality and authenticity are solid.

This is a great little taco stand, with very clean food, and a little baseball batting cage attached (East Beach Batting Cages), so you can hit some balls before or after lunch. This is a favorite spot for locals, so expect at least a 15 minute wait if you go at peak lunch time.

This is a little deli market with high end and imported cheeses, crackers and deli items. If you're a foodie, we might suggest you check this out if you're planning a picnic on the beach or going for a hike and want something better than granola bars to put in your back pack.

This is a lovely hike within about a 5 minute drive from our home. The hike is about 3.5 miles round trip. Many of the other favorites have been closed since the mudslides, but this one remains open.

This is my favorite beach for walking, paddle boarding, and even swimming (when the water is warm). It is located just down the road from our home. During low tide you can walk all the way into downtown Santa Barbara, but pay attention to the tide charts, or you'll get your feet wet on the way back! There is a great app called TIDES which you can download to check tide report.

This is a great trail about a mile from the guest house. You can hike up to where the old Hot Spring Hotel was and see incredible views of Santa Barbara Harbor and the ocean.

Located right behind the San Ysidro Ranch hotel, this trail was heavily washed out in the 2018 floods, but has been re-opened for some time. There is a switchback trail up a hill and then it loops back down. The loop is about 4 miles.
