This is a fantastic place to go from the "Terminal del norte" a buses terminal that you could take from the metro in Caribe Station. From the terminal, you ask for a bus to Guatapé and ask the driver to drop you off in "La Piedra del Peñol". After this, you could go the the town Guatapé in a tuk-tuk.
I suggest you to go in the morning. It takes 2,5H from Medellin by bus.

Here you could walk arround in front of the bay, have lunch, try diferents traditional dishes and have a nice coffee. After spending time in "La Piedra del Peñol" and "Guatapé", you could come back to Medellin in a bus from the town to the terminal of Medellin.
