Take a walk around the diverse harbour that is home to many boats involved in the fishing industry that is the foundation of the town. More recently the harbour is embracing the sustainable wind farm industry with the vessels that service the windmills that are in the Moray Firth. There is Regeneration Funding already been allocated from Aberdeenshire Council and the Scottish Government to extend the harbour and bring it bang up to date.
If you’re lucky you may get to say hello to the seals that frequent the harbour looking for a free meal!

If you are brave take a dip in the clear water and be invigorated by the waves. Join the locals for sunrise and sunset ‘dooks’ as they call them when the weather allows. The sand dunes that rise up have many trails worn into them so you can enjoy a walk and maybe see the local wildlife. Even in the winter it’s worth getting wrapped up and seeing the dramatic waves pound the coastline - you may even catch some of our hardy fishermen setting off in their boats navigating their way through the surf to earn their living.

Heritage Centre Fraserburgh
Find out about Fraserburgh’s history with lots of displays and collections that map out the towns history. Also includes hands on interacting collections that the younger visitors will enjoy. Unfortunately Storm Arwen in October 2021 took the roof from the building and it’s not functional at the moment.
Travel to Macduff and take a look at what’s under the sea off our local coast. Large tanks are home to fish and shellfish, watch them swim in their local habitat and get involved in the hands on pools.
