A beautiful and historical island in Helsinki. Must-see during summertime and one of our favorite places in Helsinki. We also got married in Suomenlinna church and had wedding celebrations in one of the historic buildings on the island. <3
Take HSL public transportation ferry, which go to the island and back once every 20 minutes.
You may also experience some awesome misty moments during fall when sea water is warmer than the air.
Go to lunch , dinner or drinks in Cafe Bar Valimo.

Chapel of Silence - stop here for a short moment to enjoy the silence in the middle of the city. 5-10min inside should give you a nice relaxation and boost for the day. Can’t take pictures inside yet it is beautiful wooden architecture with light coming in from the top windows.

They have also another restaurant closer to the apartment in Kamppi shopping center's 5th floor, which unfortunately doesn’t serve breakfast anymore but has burgers and pizza available. Nice view there as well but the older restaurant offers a more unique experience is what we think.
During summertime Story Kauppahalli has also a nice summer terrace by the harbour.
