At Brightwater Village there is a good coffee/cafe, artisan products, as small supermarket, ale house and a number of vineyards with cellar doors - close by. Try Greenhough Vineyards on Patons Road. They sell a very fine Chardonnay and PInot Noir.

Front beach and back beach ( Rough Island ) are great places to visit for sea, inlet, wetlands, birds etc.,. Rabbit Island ( Moturoa Island ) front beach is great for swimming, running, walking and barbaques. From our Retreat you can cylce along the stock bank to Rabbit Island and catch the Ferry to Mapua.

Best wine. Great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and if you are in to Sauvignon Blanc then Andrew Greenhough makes a very good one . Also try his Riesling.
