We love both of Steep’s locations and of course their fantastic beers! The Village location is steps away from our unit for a handy apres visit and the original location in Gateway is about a 7 minute walk west toward US 6. The beers are cheaper at this location and definitely has a more local’s vibe with open mic night, trivia and more!

We love both of Steep’s locations and of course their fantastic beers! The Village location is steps away from our unit for a handy apres visit and the original location in Gateway is about a 7 minute walk west toward US 6. The beers are cheaper at this location and definitely has a more local’s vibe with open mic night, trivia and more!
One of our favorite places for an upscale dining experience with a huge whisky and bourbon selection. It does require a drive or bus ride into Silverthorne (about 15 minutes driving) but it’s worth it.

We’ve been skiing and riding Keystone for over two decades and it’s truly our second home. We even got married here!
We know the mountain well for both winter and summer activities so ask us about some of our favorite runs.
In the winter, a fun way to come down the front side to River Run is Bachelor > Jackwhacker > The Edge > River Run. It’s a rolling and fun way to descend. If you aren’t comfortable on black runs, you can avoid The Edge by either hitting Jacque St. James > Missouri or Beger > Midland.
If you are feeling adventurous, there are a lot of options from the Outback chair with both tree and open bowl runs. If you do the short hike to the North of South Bowls, just be ready for some skinny cat track exits back to the Outback Chair.

Getting to & from Summit County & Keystone
Traveling to and from Keystone on Interstate 70 can be challenging during peak times and during inclement weather. Allow plenty of time and do your best to avoid I-70 on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings. If you have a Sunday evening flight out of DIA it’s best to leave just after checkout time and spend some time in Denver during the afternoon. Make sure you are prepared for winter travel during ski season with AWD/4WD and appropriate winter tires.
