Sightseeing

Definitely worth seeing while visiting our beautiful state! The Grand Canyon is about a 2.5 hour drive from the Verde Valley so plan to leave early and enjoy most of the day there. The Grand Canyon Village or the Visiter’s Center at the South Rim is a great place to start. There is a courtesy bus that will take you back and forth to the different parking lots so take a look at the bus route and schedule before heading out on the trails. There are gift and art shops in GC Village.

If you spot this on your way to Grand Canyon, you can stop and check out the cool planes they have parked outside and you can take some photos or do a tour.

Food scene

Make a reservation! This is the best place to eat while visiting the GC. Cozy and rustic lodge ambiance, great service and food, and the views are spectacular! Located in the historic El Tovar Hotel and recognized internationally. Guests such as Teddy Roosevelt, President Bill Clinton, and Sir Paul McCartney have dined and shared stories within these walls. The menu is traditional, integrating both international and local Southwest influences.
