Our town beach - a pleasant 5 minute walk along shop-lined Main Street.
Food Scene
Fresh off the boat lobster and oysters. Eat in the rough at outdoor tables. Great chowder too. Just across the lane. Served with hot butter- so good! No sides, but if you plan it well you can get fries or onion rings, etc from the place across the street or make a salad in the apartment bring to your table at Roy Moore's (they don't mind). It's fun and rustic to sit back there and get messy.

Really beautiful location ( can feel like you're in Capri). Pricey and not all that gourmet for the price, but nice for views and cocktails. The closest thing we have to a "special occasion" resturant. Strongly recommend making reservations asap.

Great lobster, great VIEWS. After or before a stroll at Halibut Point State Park ( which is 1 minute up the road- please go, so beautiful)- a perfect seaside afternoon! Note: If you aren't driving or cycling- it's possible you could have a taxi drop you off at HALIBUT POINT STATE PARK, you could take a light hike and enjoy the magnificent landscape and then walk to the LOBSTER POOL (maybe about a 1/2 mile or so).

Note: If you aren't driving or cycling- it's possible you could have a taxi drop you off at HALIBUT POINT STATE PARK, you could take a light hike and enjoy the magnificent landscape and then walk to the LOBSTER POOL (maybe about a 1/2 mile or so).
Just around the corner- exit front gate take left and a left at corner. Great built-upon hot dogs and REALLY GREAT FRIED CLAMS!
Maybe best fried clams around.

Parks & Nature
Stunning views and trails for all levels of hiking. Tiny museum with artifacts from the parks days as a working quarry and WWII look-out. Really interesting and very beautiful.

Very large beautiful beach, but be aware parking is an issue. Parking there costs $20 and Lot often fills up, so maybe taking a taxi there would be wise. Taxi (978) 281-6161

An abandoned early settlement, known for it's eerie, woodsy beauty makes for quite and peaceful hiking. There's a witchy New England history to the place that I'm not so clear about, but artist Marsden Hartley thought is was great and painted there for many years. I haven't been there yet, but guests have told me it's beautiful. please google for directions
