So let's get our bearings, you are a mere 5 min slow walk away from the iconic berawa beach ,with its world class surf breaks, and on entering onto the beach ,take a right and a 20 min lazy walk to sand bar,at batu bolong beach, which epitomises Canggu location central, marked by the famous old mans live music and bar venue & sandbar beach,and lawns beach club bar & lawns beach club, all located at batu bolong beach.
alternatively villa babar is a mere 5 min scooter ride away from canngu central, via the famous canggu short cut, which amazingly has recently been fully tarmaced to western standard, cars do have access, but it is a one way so to go the other way will add on a good 40 minutes drive time.
Berawa offers a very laid back relaxed surfer vibe with coffee houses everywhere, as are small boutique shops, casual to fine dining restaurants aplenty, catering for every type of cooking known to man,even a mini shopping mall, kiddies play area, 3 nightclubs, mainline food shopping is fully catered for with 3 outlets within walking distance of Berawa beachlife and perfect sunsets makes for a perfect cocktail neighbourhood
decent sized western supermarkets,of which there are 3 ,all in walking,chemists,emergencey services,dental services,again all within walking,and a double football pitch sized central park are in the neighbourhood

Waterbom is a personal must for our kids, it ticks all the boxes for a great family day out, heads up the bali traffic does slow your travel time down to about 1hr and could be even slightly more but again so well worth it !

When in ubud and not far from jungle fish & monkey forest is this gem of a tree swing park, great jungle views, zip wires, mini walks, again a personal favourite of ours. Ubud is around 1hr drive time and the drive is an experience in itself.

Jalan Raya TegallalangWhen in ubud and not far from jungle fish & monkey forest is this gem of a tree swing park, great jungle views, zip wires, mini walks, again a personal favourite of ours. Ubud is around 1hr drive time and the drive is an experience in itself.
For that iconic temple, box ticked experience, then look no further than tanah lot which is right on your doorstep barely 45 minutes drive time away. Afterwards maybe pull in at nearby sesh beach for a more up coast quieter beach experience.

We totally give this the thumbs up, a great safe family fun great day out, super scenic with great view foodie stop after your rafting all organised through bali white water rafting company, two rivers are available one more adventurous than the other.

An absolute great family day out for EVERYTHING in water sports, a bit of a drive out to Nusa Dua around 1 hour 30 mins due to traffic so do prepare, we booked through water sport bali.

This is very special,and what a photo opportunity with the volcano mount angu in the background ,we,ve done this,great day out & drive ,..there is a negative ,and that is the q,which is about 2 hours
so get your ticket number ,and head of to do the step challenge ,a 30 min walk will bring you to the base of 1700 steps up and down,
The walk will take you deep up into the mountain misty rain canopy,up to a rather anti climatic temple ,but still insanely gratifying to reach watch out for the monkeys ,they will follow you all the way,and a good stout walking stick is advised--food and drink stops on the way
we had fit 60+ year olds in our group who managed the challenge
allow about 3 hours up and down,and then get your driver to go straight to the heavens gate photo op caller to call you up within 5 mins
Also on site are local fare stalls,and the lempuyang temple ,and a big restaurant ,with mount angung as the backdrop,offering stunning platform photo ops
great memories,this one,the steps are a mini bonding adventure

if its bike rides, zero cars ,walking,white sands,safe calm water,swimming with turtles,reef diving ,total wind down we highly recommend taking a 3 day trip out to this island,a very popular get away,you can cycle around the island in around an hour or so,good dining and nightlife in the evening if you so choose
