Simply beautiful to walk on the boardwalk and check out the live music that can be heard the the various restaurants. While on the boardwalk you should be able to see the goats that live on this peninsula...fun to watch.

Have your camera ready and refer to the map at Brookgreen Gardens. The statues are amazing and the gardens are beautiful. There is a butterfly enclosure which was small but nice to see and a zoo with local animals.

OMG...purchase a bag of peanuts (if you don't have a nut allergy) or snack food and feed the animals. Also, you don't have to pay to go into the zoo to feed the animals as they have goats and sheep close to the parking lot. They have wagons that kids can ride through the zoo...may make travel with little ones easier as there are tree roots throughout the zoo on the walking path. Favorites were the monkeys!

The beach is nice but there were a lot of large shells. Great location if you want to pick up buckets of shells. If you decide to go swimming, water shoes came in handy. When you are done at the beach there are wonderful restaurants and souvenir shops.
There are restrictions regarding beach umbrellas/canopy's.

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and PromenadeThe beach is nice but there were a lot of large shells. Great location if you want to pick up buckets of shells. If you decide to go swimming, water shoes came in handy. When you are done at the beach there are wonderful restaurants and souvenir shops.
