We love walking along the waterfront trail. Lots of good restaurants and shops, waterfront dining, views of Mt Rainier on a clear day, and you can watch the ferry boats in the Sound. Fun place to hang out for a while.

Beautiful open spaces and walking trails. The geyser is dormant, but you can read about it on the trail! We like taking our dog (must stay on-leash) and walking the path along the river. There are also many picnic tables, a playground, and an open field where hobbyists fly their model airplanes! A Discover Pass or paying the $10 day use fee is required.

We love the ambiance and coffee here. They have some good food options as well! Multiple buildings: the main room, a building across the walkway that tends to be more of the quiet work/study atmosphere, and the “treehouse”. It’s in an office complex but don’t let that deter you! Definitely check it out!
