On the site of the former plantations of the Stefanesti Research Institute, abandoned after the 90s - the Stefanesti Wine House established, starting in 2011, 25 hectares of vineyards with noble varieties. In choosing the varieties, the experience gained from the viticultural research in Stefanesti was used over time, Marcea being the place where numerous scientific projects were carried out.
Heavy, clayey soils with high acidity are difficult to work, requiring modern agricultural techniques, high-performance equipment and very good synchronization with the weather conditions.
The productions on Marcea Hill are limited to a maximum of 6000 kg/ha by the cutting practices or, simply, by the vigor of the plants.

VILLA FLORICA
Located in the Ștefăneștii Noi neighborhood of the town of Ștefăneşti (Argeş county), the Brătianu family mansion - called, like the village where it was located, Florica, in memory of the first daughter of Ion C. Brătianu - is one of the most beautiful noble estates in Romania , very well preserved to this day (except for the objects, furniture and books inside, scattered during the years of the communist regime). It is the mansion where the most important family of Romanian politicians was born and lived, a real civil dynasty that gave the country no less than three prime ministers, of which the first two - Ion and Ionel Brătianu - had an overwhelming role in the realization of modern Romania (the name of the first being linked to the War of Independence, the second realizing - also after a war - the Union of 1918 and the reforms that were the basis of the interwar democracy).
In the opinion of the poet Ion Pillat, the Florica estate and house were among the "rare and precious views in the sentimental geography of the Romanian nation", even if the landscape seemed simple and discreet.
