Sightseeing
It is a long slow drive up a gravel mountain road to the trail head, but it is well worth the drive. Most of the hike in to Hawk's Bill is a descending hike. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of the mountains. We love this hike and have only run into one other group when we were there.

Hawk's Bill Crag/Whitaker Point

This is another one of our favorites. There is an easy short hike around the top side of the cliffs with great vistas and unusual rock formations. The lower trail area is also really neat and fun to explore. This area has multiple trad climbing routes and a few sport climbs as well.

The waterfall is really unique and fun, and the area the falls and cave is really pretty. Be ready for the hike back; it's 2 miles uphill.

If you enjoy rock climbing, the Horseshoe Canyon Ranch is the Ozark's premier destination. They have hundreds of routes, both trad and sport. They also rent grear if you need. Haunt Hollow is the closest climbing area. It offers high level sport and trad routes, with multiple roof routes. You can find the directions on Mountain Project.
