Full of art deco charm (built in 1936), it’s a great place for quality pub food, live music and craft beers. It’s located directly across from the train station.

Besides it’s absolutely delicious! If it’s a nice night, grab yourself a gelato and take a wander down Peel street and enjoy the lights and atmosphere. You could also walk through bicentennial park or along the river. P.s they also do home delivery!

Sightseeing

A great experience for young and old. A free park where you can mix with native animals, pack a picnic or make use of the free BBQ's. If you're lucky the cockatoos will say 'hello' as you walk past. There's a large playground for the kids to play, lots of bush walking tracks to explore. Its a 6 minute drive or if you're feeling like a good run its a great incline

30 min drive. Manilla is a rural New England town, nestled at the junctions of the Namoi and Manilla Rivers, which are central to the town’s character. Teamsters with bullock wagons camped at the junction of the two rivers - an early camping ground for the Kamilaroi people - before continuing their journeys, carrying supplies to outlying cattle stations and the gold fields of Bingara and Bundarra. Now, the rivers make fantastic playgrounds for water sports, fishing, boating and camping, which attract many visitors. Manilla sits between Lake Keepit and Split Rock Dam, and is near Warrabah National Park. Manilla’s main street is a fascinating display of period architecture, with Victorian and art deco facades, leadlight windows, wrought-iron balconies and ornate verandahs. Heritage-listed buildings merge seamlessly with cosmopolitan street cafes, while history buffs rub shoulders with adrenaline junkies, paragliders and hang gliders. Manilla is a town where you can have your head in the past - or your head in the clouds.
