Our local forest park. Many paths through the forest and hiking routs. When the weather is good in Akureyri it is even better there . Childrens playgrounds so great fun if you have children traveling with you.

If you haven´t been to Icelandic Swimming pool you should try one. More like a miny waterpark and a spa with Geothermal warm water in all pools. This one is one of the best in Iceland. For more private and quiet thermal pools with better scenery try Hrafnagil swimmingpool or Þelamörk both 10 km outside of Akureyri.
