Amazing 360-degree views of Edinburgh! For best views of the Old Town we recommend walking down Holyrood Rd to the new Scottish Parliament building and taking the route over the front of Salisbury Crags before heading up the Seat. For the quickest way to the top, cut through to Holyrood Park at Viewcraig Rd and walk round Queens Drive then head straight up.

The best views of Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags are actually from this side of town. And it's a much shorter climb! Also don't miss the National Monument and the view down Princes St.

Adam Smith lives virtually outside our front door! Looking up at his statue, with St Giles in the background and the Royal Mile heading up to the Castle behind, is one of the most iconic views in the Old Town.

The Victoria St branch of the famous Mellis cheese shop is just round the corner from us. My favourite is the truffled Moliterno! Also, challenge the staff to cut the exact weight of cheese you request and see how well they do. "I'd like 167g of the Brie please..."
