Le Marais - delimited with la Seine in the S, la rue Beaubourg in W and blvd Beaumarchais in E - was started by king Henri IV at Place des Vosges in 16th century.

NO GO! Though this majestic monument, the upper part of the Champs Elysées is disappointing (unless you're very VERY into luxury). There is just so much to do in Paris, don't waste your time there.

The cruise on the river Seine is a MUST-DO in Paris ! Best tour in the world, seriously.
Look for "les vedettes de Paris".

After going to the famous Pigalle and Montmartre (which I would personnally avoid), you may want to change the atmosphere.

Beautiful building ! Watch it when you are close to it, but also when you are further away from it. Always a pleasure to admire.

The lower part, next to Bastille, and rue de Charonne, are a nice area to visit and shop in. Rue de Lappe is nice by day, and famous to go out at night, but I would avoid it at night
