Daorson was the capital of a Hellenised Illyrian tribe called the Daors. The Daorsi lived in the valley of the Neretva River between 300 BC and 50 BC. The oldest still in use pharmacy in Europe. It was founded in 1317 as in-house pharmacy for Franciscan friars which was later introduced to the public servicing the whole Town’s population. The pharmacy stands right next to the Baroque church among the arches of the atrium of the Monastery. Pharmacy is still in function nowadays and offers some products which preparations are made according to ancient Franciscan’s recipes. If you visit the pharmacy the excelent idea is to buy some of its very good skin cream products made from local wild herbs

Fort Prevlaka is placed at Ponta Oštro, at the very end of Prevlaka peninsula. It was built in the mid-19th century as part of the fortification system of the Boca (Kotor bay) at the time of the Austrian Empire. By its monumentality and unique structure, it presents an exceptional example of military architecture of its time. Today, the fortress is out of use, badly damaged by the Serbs in war attack 1991.

(on this church all wooden windows was made by me and my carpenters when it was renewed...and the throne too and I am very proud of that : )

The Archeological Museum of Narona in Vid, built on top of a former Narona forum, IN SITU, has covered a unique and impressive set of remains of Augusteum, a temple to the divined Augustus built in the year 10 B.C.
In 1995 a Roman temple was discovered and contained statues of the emperors Claudius and Vespasian, as well as two of Augustus and his wife Livia. The statues had been vandalized in the 4th century: they were lying on the floor and their heads had been broken off. The heads of Vespasian and one of the Livias had been acquired in the surrounding area by Arthur Evans in 1878. The heads were thus reunited with their bodies.
