Really creative and wholesome menu. Best lunch in the area. Staff being the most attentive and accomodating. Roaring fires or beer garden. Seafood chowder is not to be missed and gluten free battered fish, usually one Asian inspired dish too.

Deciduous natural forest with marked pathways, skirting the sea and coming out into a panoramic headland. Bluebells time is wonderful. Continue as a cliff walk and head back into village via "the fuschia trail" by the Courtmacsherry Hotel.

An old church is reached by a short flat walk on one side of the road, or a more varied forest walk on the other side with ample parking and picnic tables. Several song thrushes sing in the evening, and there is an old well to discover.
