Silver Mountain may not have Lake Superior views like its brethren to the north, but what it lacks in aquatic overlooks it more than makes up for with history, solitude, adventure, and the opportunity for some of the best rock climbing in the Keweenaw!

Slate River Falls is an idyllic tumble into a deep pool surrounded by steep banks and towering trees. The waterfall itself is a bit odd, two angled streams of waters plunging down a layered tilt of rock, but the view is quite striking.

The Ojibwa Recreation Area is located along the pristine shores of Lake Superior. We offer camping, fishing, beaches, and a marina with easy access to Lake Superior via Keweenaw Bay.
