Take county road 513 to Black River Harbor. There are 5 beautiful waterfalls on the way to the harbor. The harbor has a suspended bridge to cross over to get to the beautiful beach area.

Beautiful hiking trail and falls just a short distance from the house.
This is known to be the highest point in the state of Wisconsin. Gorgeous falls and hiking trail. When you get to the top the overlook is beautiful.

If you are coming or going on HWY 51 by Wausau WI stop and check out this site! This historical marker is the exact point half-way between the Equator and the North Pole, and half-way between Greenwich Meridian and the International Date Line.

Mt. Zion is located a short distance from the house. From spring to fall you can drive, walk or bike up to the top to oversee to the West and North toward Lake Superior. Go there for STUNNING sunsets!!! Also, I headed out many a night last summer to view the Northern Lights. .... here are some links to see if the lights will be out when you are here.....

This is an historic bridge on the Black River located between Bessemer and Wakefield a mile or so to the south on Hwy 2. Very popular place for taking photos.

On the trailhead on county road 519 on the way to the Porkie Pine Mountains. This is a good hike - I think about 1.5-2 miles to Lake Superior. the trail follows the river all the way. Beautiful hike.

Go to Blackjack drive across the bridge turn left, go past the chalet amd up the hill. On the right you’ll see snow machines and I think there is a sign on the left. Park along the road and it’s just a few steps off the road on the left! You’ll hear the water roaring!
You can access them from maybe bottom too. We parked at the bridge and hiked in last year. Also be really careful! Slippery rocks and no barriers

This is area is a must visit on your bucket list! You can take a ferry to some of the islands such as Madeline Island and Stockton Island. Stockton Island is known for its sugar sand beach and is a beautiful place to spend a day trip.

This is area is beautiful and you can hike all the way around the falls. If you drive up the road past the visitors center there is a campground and a beautiful lake to take in some swimming and a picnic. This makes for a wonderful day trip with the family.
