Brief Introduction:
The National Palace Museum is listed among the word’s top four museums, containing the world’s largest and most valuable collection of Chinese art and artifacts. Covering over 5,000 years of history, artifacts from the Neolithic times down to the end of the Qing Dynasty in the early 20th century can be found at this extensive collection. The treasures found include porcelains, bronzes, jades, sculptures, paintings, and calligraphy—almost 650,000 items in all.
Opening Times: 8:30 to 18:30 year round
Public Transportation: Take the MRT Tamsui-Xinyi Line to the Shilin Station and take bus R30

Opening Times: Memorial Hall open daily from 9:00 to 18:00 except for Chinese New Year Even and Chinese New Year

In addition, there are many fun activity booths such as ring toss, dartboards, and even shrimping!

It serves as an icon of modern Taiwan, representing the continuous development of technology and Asian tradition. The construction of Taipei 101 takes a postmodernist approach, utilizing traditional design elements and combining it with modern aspects. Taipei 101 continues to serve as a major landmark in Taipei, where many events are held each year. You can go all the way up and see a birds eye view of Taipei at its Observatory, or just enjoy one of the many restaurants located within the building as well!

It was initially built to serve as the Office of the Governor General of Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period, and went through several periods of destruction during World War II. However following the Chinese Civil War, the building began to serve as the Presidential Office in 1950.
