The cottage has a lovely living area running from front to back comprising of a fitted kitchen with quartz countertops, dining & lounge area. The french doors & glass Juliet balcony allow unrestricted views across the sand below, harbour & out to sea. 4 guests max, no pets, no parties (requested quite time 10pm-7am) There is no parking in this area & cottage is unsuitable for children under 10 years old

Relax with the family at our peaceful cosy cottage. A short 30 minute scenic walk into central whitby over the cinder track or a 4 minute drive or taxi ride. Visit a bustling town during the day but have a peaceful night sleep in this quiet part of whitby. Access to the on site indoor swimming pool which is open from 15th feb 2026 until November 2026(one time fee£10/£20), laundrette (one time fee of £10), playpark and swings right outside the back door. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly cottage. The cottage sleeps 4 people comfortably with a King size bed in the master bedroom complete with a sea view. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds. There is a perfectly formed family bathroom complete with a bath and overhead shower. A well appointed self catering kitchen opens onto the living/dining room again with a panoramic view of Filey Bay. A travel cot and high chair can be requested for the smallest of our guests.

Sandside Retreat

Sandside Retreat is situated in the heart of Whitby’s Old Town, at the foot of the iconic 199 steps leading to the Abbey. ; whilst tucked away for peace and quiet. Just a stone’s throw away from Tate Hill Sands, harbour, shops, restaurants and bars. Sleeping up to 3 guests, it features a cosy living room with separate kitchen/diner. There is a private patio which overlooks the sea towards the East Pier. Unlike many cottages to the East Side, there are no steps leading up to the cottage.
