Welcome to 40 Water Street in historic Winterport, Maine. We are located on a quiet street just steps away from the Penobscot River. This house is so centrally located, it’s only 52 miles to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, 21 miles to Belfast and 40 miles to Camden just to name a few of the beautiful coastal towns in Maine. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full. There is one full bath. The kitchen and living room are open concept with a t.v. in the living room.

The Cottage rests over the end of Penobscot River as it opens into the Bay. The Cottage will comfortably accommodate two. The Cottage has a spacious bedroom, full kitchen, dining area, den and an all season porch with rockers. From Cottage there are views of the water and the lavender gardens. The gardens are terraced with a path down to the sea. The Carriage House Suite is available for an additional fee. it has has two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. It can easily sleep four.

Historic cozy cape in seaside village of Searsport, Maine, dates back to 1800. Totally updated kitchen and restoration provides comfort with all modern conveniences. Quiet open space off the patio. Light streams in through the windows and sea breezes sooth the spirit. The house offers space for work, play and relaxation. About 2 blocks from Penobscot Bay and one block from Route 1, one can walk to a pizza spot, a bookshop, the Penobscot Marine Museum, Searsport Library and restaurants.

The Barn

I call my place "The Barn" because as I was finishing it it took the shape and feel of a barn. It's not a barn. It's a quiet post and beam open concept building (a Jamaica Cottages kit) set among the fields of Appleton, Maine. You'll sleep in the loft or on a futon on the main floor. The bathroom is huge, 10X10, with a heated floor. It's an open concept kitchen and living space. From Appleton you are 20 miles away from the tourist destinations of Camden, Rockland, and Belfast.

The Strawberry House

Passive house certified and winner of Leed project of the year, the Strawberry House (named by our daughter) has huge windows looking onto a field of milkweed and wildflowers. The property is 4 acres and very private; the road is walled off by a thick border of foliage. Behind us is only woods and there are miles of lovely nature trails accessed from the bottom of our field. It's only a 2 mile drive to the center of town Enjoy!

Cedar Swamp Farm

A 2 bedroom house with a porch and gazebo in the back yard in a rural setting located on gravel road. Overlooking lovely horse pastures and deer often come to visit. 35 additional wooded acres to explore. There are unorganized trails that abut “Dead Brook“ available to walk. “Majic”, “Wally” and “Boots” are your neighbors and love to say hello and get a pat.
