Twins at the Lake units are a short stroll away from the lake and the main walkway and cycling tracks. Kaniere is host to the powerboat races each year and is located only 18 km inland from Hokitika. Kowhai bach offers plenty of room to park a boat and lock up storage for any cycles etc

Lake Kaniere Lodge

Lake Kaniere Lodge is situated 20 minutes east of Hokitika in a Scenic Reserve at the south end of Lake Kaniere and all Scenic Reserve rules must be respected. Parties can travel via the Lakeside Drive or through Kokatahi. The Lodge accommodates up to 40 individuals (in two 17-person bunk rooms and two 3-person quarters) and has most modern appliances, excluding cell phone reception and internet access. Users need to supply their own bedding.

Te Waihora Lodge, Lake Ellesmere, Christchurch

Te Waihora Lodge is a lovely farmstead accomodation, Sheep and the Turkeys all residing on 20 arce's of Lakeside Beauty. Leeston town is only 6km away with local Pubs, Cafes, Restaurants and Markets to fulfil the needs. Picturesque Lake Ellesmere is across the road, with 50,000 birds at last count making it a bird watchers haven. Sitting in the Spa Pool watching the clear night sky and the thousands of Stars is always my highlight.
