First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years.

All that said we love our neighborhood and should you choose to stay here you will enjoy off-street parking just a few steps away from our space! We are 5 minutes from Downtown, the Plaza, and historic Westport.

The best of all worlds - a quick walk to plaza restaurants, bars, movies, and shopping as well as strolling through Brush Creek Park and Westwood Park. Downtown and Westport minutes away. This location is as centrally located as you can get.

Our settlement was built in 1920. We have a cute apartment above our general store. (one flight of stairs) We offer sweet smells of cinnamon rolls each morning with coffee and pastries right downstairs. We are located right in the middle of town. Basehor is 10 minutes west of Kansas Speedway, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Hollywood casino and Legends shopping area. Lynnmark Mercantile is a 4 minute drive to Holy Field Winery, and 33 minute drive to Historical Lawrence, Kansas
