The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

Spectacular Mountain Retreat

Cottage is the guest house of our country home. Situated on a mountain with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge and access to many hiking trails; biking; fishing and swimming in private pond only steps from the door. Cottage is located within easy driving distance of multiple wineries, Sky Line Drive and Shenandoah National Park; Montpelier; and restaurants and shops. We can accommodate no more than one dog, with prior permission. In April 2023, we again upgraded our internet (see below).

A truly private retreat comes w/ modern conveniences including: EV charger, smart devices, flat-screen TV, standing desk, wood burning stove & spa bathrobes.

Sit on the screened-in porch to read a book, enjoy a meal or play a board game with your family. 20 minute drive to Massanutten Resort where you can enjoy skiing, mountain biking and an indoor waterpark. 30 mins to James Madison University and 25 mins to the Swift Run entrance to Shenandoah national park. Living Water Farm, Blue Ridge

Iconic home and Farm in Dyke, Virginia, circa 1891. Situated on the Roach River with views of the Blue Ridge mountains and pastures. Relax on one of the double porches or under on of the shade trees. The stone fireplace warms the heart and soul on a cool evening. Minutes from the Shenandoah National Parkway, the Blue Ridge School and several beautiful wineries. Approx. 12 miles from CHO airport, 20 min from Blue ridge Parkway, 10 min. to Standardsville and 20 miles to Charlottesville.

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

Captivating Cabin in Shenandoah

This stunning 5+ acre, creekside cabin is nestled between two sides of National Parkland, opening to a breathtaking view of a stone bluff and the rambling Hawksbill Creek. Enjoy the view from the hot-tub! A central location: 15 min drive to the SNP Swift Gap Run entrance, 15 min to Massanutten 4 season resort, 30 min to historic Harrisonburg. The quaint town of Elkton has excellent cafes and adorable antique shops, and the area is rife with wineries and breweries, often with live music!

Robinson River Cabin - Tri Creek Farm

If you spend most of your career glued to a computer and other screens, this place is for you. TriCreek Farm is a place for you to disconnect, reboot, and fuel your soul. This riverfront cabin is situated on ~100 acres, over 1/2 mile of Robinson River frontage, with breathtaking views. There are creeks, fishing, and hiking trails to explore and enjoy. The cabin is located in Brightwood, Virginia, a small town located in Madison County between Culpeper and Charlottesville Virginia.
