Breathe the salty air over alfresco dinners at the water's edge at a restored 1940 retreat with 360-degree views. Nestled in 40,000 square meters of grounds, this homey heaven combines nautical accents with smooth stone and chunky wooden furniture. Surf Rental complete equipment is possible or surf lessons, by previous appointment. An electric car or a 9 seat Van VW Caravelle is available for rental by request, with excellent conditions, pick up in Sintra or at Lisbon airport. Very cosy and warm with a lightfire in the living room. The house has one small bedroom with a double bed and other room "Kind of a boat" with a 3 store bed (sleep 4 children). The outside of this house include an exterior shower (hot/cold water), a barbecue, a small tank and and a big table. The 40.000 m2 property has a bigger house just behind (http://abnb.me/EVmg/X5OG5cFJTE), but the outside spaces are totally independent. There is also a shed with good shade for the cars. Go from sintra about 12 km to Magoito beach (Praia do Magoito). When you arrive in Magoito go all the way down to the beach and pass the fortress by the sea. Turn right and you will see the last two white houses. You're there! A personalized special fishing and surfing tour, only for wild, top and "out of the box " adventures. Just 12 km from sintra center (vila) "the Portuguese Environment Agency is finishing the recovery of the cliff, located in front of the house, between 50 and 100 meters. There are no noisy works anymore but only a fence in the cliff. The works started last July 2017 and will be totally finished and removed in April 2018" The location of this houses are unique, and the environment did not change much since 1950. Start the day with a lazy breakfast on the patio at this hip duplex with an open layout. This peaceful hilltop spot in a restored historic villa boasts a light-filled mezzanine bedroom, exposed ceiling beams, and deep skylights for an airy ambiance. Keeping the original architectural layout of the facade, the interior of Duque's Villa was carefully refurbished to maintain the original wooden floors and window coverings, the high ceilings and the impressive staircase, as well as some furniture elements that tell us little secrets about the past. All suites are designed to enjoy a privileged view of the Tagus River and the spacious garden that surrounds the property. With a comfortable seating area, a kitchenette and a private bathroom, each of the suites features an unique and exclusive interior design, which includes typical details but with a modern Portuguese touch. The result is an elegant, distinctive and certainly royal atmosphere that will make you feel like a Duke. All guests have acces to the property's garden, parking, 1st floor balcony and reception area. Usually you will find someone at our reception on working hours, but besides that we are always available for an emergency. If you need help contact us to our mobile number, we never turn it off. This is a residential area very close to the city center, but removed just enough to guarantee a tranquil, village-like feel. This eastern, industrial part of the city sits between Lisbon’s historic heart and Nations Park, constructed for Expo '98. Within a short walk, you can reach the Nacional Tile Museum or the Fado Museum, and typical quarters like Alfama or Graça. You can also opt for the beautiful bicycle path along the river or public transports which are also nearby. This area is getting one of the trendiest places in town (you will not find many tourists here... yet!), and there are a number of different shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby that are worth knowing - we would be happy to make recommendations and can help you book an appointment or reservation on your behalf.
